1) Download the App
SailViewer is designed for use on larger screens – while the app can be used and tested on smartphones, you’ll get the best user experience and results when running it on a tablet or laptop.
Android
To install the app on Android devices, get it on the Play Store: Download on the Android Play Store
Windows
The app can be installed on Windows via Android Emulator software.

Mac
Setup on a Mac needs a bit more time, but once it’s up and running, it operates smoothly and provides a great user experience. Full instructions here: How To Install On Mac.

2) Unlock 2-Month Trial
The free trial provides unrestricted access to all Pro features for a period of two months, giving you a hands-on experience of SailViewer’s full functionality.
2-Month Trial Period
Before deciding to purchase the subscription, all users get a free 2-month trial period with access to SailViewer’s full functionality.
Basic Plan – Free Forever
SailViewer comes preinstalled with sample log files, so you can test out the app’s full features, as well as access very simplified features for your own logs.
Instructions to Unlock
To activate the app, please send the Device ID of your tablet, obtained from the app Menu/About screen. You can send a screenshot, a photo or just the text with the device ID to [email protected]
1- Click the Menu Button
2- Click About
3- Send us the Device ID on the About Screen
4- Once the Device ID is sent, you will receive the Unlock Code. For faster input, you’ll also get a QR code that you just need to scan by using the QR button in the About dialog. This code will grant you 60 days free access to SailViewer’s full functionality.
3) After trial expires: Subscribe to keep full features
At the end of the 60-day trial, to continue using all of SailViewer’s features, you must become a paid member.

If you choose not to subscribe, you will still have free access to the Basic Version of SailViewer, which has limited functionality, allowing you to view just your Speed and VMG on the screen.
Note on ‘Per Device’ Membership
For each device installed with SailViewer, paying members get unlimited usage. This means there are no restrictions on the number of logs and who can use the app. For example, a club, sailing team, or federation can have a shared tablet for all coaches and sailors to access as needed.
