Full Race
GBR with more than 1km sailed in this race overall almost a knot higher average speed than ITA. Some legs with more than 200m longer distance sailed. Also, Upwind dist in many legs is higher, meaning either rounding unfavored gate or just making the turn too late/wide. For example leg 6, GBR started that leg 19m above ITA and ended it 20m below ITA.
Looks like boat performances are so similar is all about the other stuff. GBR sailing much longer course. Good part of extra meters coming from rounding wide on both sides.

Upwind Performance
Clean sailing with maneuvers removed and rounding removed. GBR a knot faster, VMGs almost identical.

Downwind Performance
Nothing between the boats. VMG almost identical again.

Tacks
ITA gaining approx 10m of upwind distance per tack. Note that it is considering long 30 seconds after as still being in tack. It takes that long for VMG dip to get back to normal values. GBR enters and exits tacks with lower angles. You can clearly see it both in typical GPS track and in ATW values.
All the values and tracks are medians, meaning that half the tacks were on one and half on the other side of the number. This prevents one bad maneuver to bring everything down and shows the typical maneuver data.

Gybes
Here the advantage is on GBR side. 17m more downwind distance per gybe. Speed drops less and also angle stays a bit lower.

LW Roundings
GBR still going wide, but fast. So overall time spent rounding LW gates was equal. 130m more sailing for GBR overall.

WW Roundings
GBR spent 9 seconds more in these. Higher SOG, but sailing quite more meters. 240m longer straight line or 53m longer straight up/down. Plenty of opportunities there to improve.
