Stats

GBR sailed less distance, but more upwind distance, meaning their rounding are still on the wide side, especially windward ones.

Upwind Performance

GBR a touch slower, but more than compensates with higher angles. Partly probably also due to getting better wind shifts.

Downwind performance

GBR faster and lower. 1 knot better VMG, meaning half a meter gain per second of sailing. 5 minutes is 300 seconds, so 150m gain here.

Tacks

ITA recovering both speed and angle faster. Doing about 20m more upwind meters in tack (note that tack is considered from 5s before to big 30s after head to wind, recovery time is pretty long).

Gybes

GBR better here. Can be due to ITA gybing late to the gate a few times. Can see on GPS track starboard to port.

WW rounding

GBR spent 10s more in these. Probably still rounding too wide/slow. You just don’t want to go upwind or reaching while you can go down at almost 50kts of speed.

LW Roundings

Should be equal, but ITA’s trouble on upwind counts in so they are 10s slower. Other two rounding within a second between each other.
