The Box Plot window displays how a value is distributed over a selected time frame.

At its core is a colored box, representing the middle range of the data — by default, the 25th to 75th percentiles. This means the box contains the central 50% of values.

A horizontal line runs through the box, typically at the median, showing where half the data points are above and half below.

Extending from the box are dark whiskers, which by default mark the 5th and 95th percentiles. These show a broader spread of the data while excluding the outermost 5% on each end.

The light gray whiskers at the edges show the absolute minimum and maximum values within the time range.

A smaller box indicates the data is more consistent or stable — the values are tightly grouped. A wider box means greater variability within the central 50%.

If the median line is closer to one side of the box, the distribution is skewed, suggesting the values are not evenly spread.

All percentile values used in the Box Plot — including those defining the box and whiskers — can be fully customized in the Box Plot Settings dialog. If needed, it’s easy to revert back to the default settings at any time.

The plot offers three zoom levels to help you focus on different parts of the data:

  • Box – zooms in on the central box, showing the most common values in detail.
  • Whiskers – zooms to include the extended range covered by the dark whiskers.
  • MinMax – zooms out to display the full value range, including the absolute minimum and maximum.

You can also customize which values are shown and how they’re displayed. Tap the “Vals” button to reorder or toggle which values appear.

To change a specific value, simply tap its label — this lets you change it to any other value.
