Start
At the start 3 boats were at the line, ENMO, BLUS, and TMPR. ENMO and BLUS were the fastest at the gun with 12 and 14 kts of speed and they extended. TOROA had solid speed at the start, but could not increase it and has fallen behind the others.
1st downwind
BLUS nailed the layline and went full speed, closing up on ENMO and at the end passing them due to the fact that ENMO also missed the layline. Team TOROA has passed both ATHP and LADY that were gybing too early and too late.
1st LW gate and upwind
BLUS took the left-hand mark and went straight to the favored left side. This was the key point for the 1st upwind. ENMO took the right side mark (that was even a bit favored into the wind), but suffered some loss from LVOC and TMPR that were sailing leeward of them.
There was luffing fight between ENMO and TMPR, which allowed LVOC to cut the distance to them from 45m to only 5m
WW gate and downwind
There was about 15m of bias at the WW gate, helping the boats that were tacking around not to lose much. BLUS took the right-hand mark, but had enough lead to save it with an early gybe. TMPR had solid speed and angle after the rounding, even gaining. But later was losing to both ENMO and LVOC.
2nd upwind
The wind direction went again a bit to the right side to approx 212. Still, it was the left side upwind with not much happening.
