Start

ATHP had quite a significant lead after the start. Of the rest of the fleet, LVOC and TMPR were doing well with other boats behind.

1st downwind

The key point was choosing the right place to gybe. Not too late, as ATHP did and get rolled at the end as wind at the gate is much more right. And also not too early, so you end up falling out of the pressure as ENMO did. What is interesting is that BLUS gybed just a bit after ENMO and had the best downind leg.

1st LW gate

This time the right hand mark was further away and you needed to sail quite longer to reach it. So BLUS has lost quite a lot compared to three boats rounding the left mark. Especially knowing that the there is left bend coming up. LVOC had some issues and has lost quite a bit at the gate.

1st Upwind

left bend and course being pretty skewed didn’t give much opportunities. BLUS managed to sneak in on port just in front of ATHP due to quite a bad tack of ATHP

2nd downwind

Pretty skewed course, still crucial to get the good gybe spot. BLUS has done it well, significantly gaining on LVOC

2nd LW gate

Team LADY rounded the right-hand mark and even has made some gains by using a bit of the right wind.

2nd upwind

All the way to the left, not much happened with boats following each other except BLUS has been falling into the bad air of LVOC and then could not cross ATHP. It cost them extra two tacks and quite a loss of meters.
